Wolfson Children’s Challenge: Virtual Edition

January 3 @ 8:00 am - January 30 @ 8:00 pm

The Wolfson Children’s Challenge is going virtual for 2021. Kids and families of all abilities and fitness levels can participate in the Wolfson Children’s Challenge: Virtual Edition, celebrating current and former patients of Wolfson Children’s Hospital of Jacksonville and raising funds for lifesaving care. The month-long virtual event, which begins on Sunday, January 3, 2021, includes activity challenges and weekly social and compassion challenges, culminating in a virtual closing ceremony on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Accessible activity challenges are designed so that people of all abilities can take part, such as participants who are wheelchair-bound or require special needs, and include:
– 20-kilometer individual walk/run challenge
– 100-kilometer individual run challenge
– 200-kilometer team walk/run challenge
– 50-kilometer biking challenge

This year, participants have the unique opportunity to recruit friends and family from all over the world to join their team, get active and fundraise. Runners can track activity progress and fundraising on the Wolfson55 App.

The Wolfson Children’s Challenge will also honor the “Wolfson 55,” 55 current and former patients of all ages who represent the wide range of conditions we treat at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. Each child and family has a story to tell about the strength it takes to fight a health battle.
