Super Bowl Food Ideas
All game day festivities need delicious snacks. If you’re looking for something other than the classic chips and salsa, my favorite go-to is Mini Taco Bites. Here’s how to make them:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Make Taco Meat as you usually would
- Take Tostitos Scoops and lay them on a baking sheet
- Fill Scoops with Taco Meat and Shredded Cheese
- Bake for 10 minutes
- Remove and cool
- Garnish with a few shreds of lettuce, cut tomato and/or a small dollop of sour cream
Here are a few other easy recipe ideas:
- Chili and Hotdog Bar with DIY style toppings
- Snack-stadium (here’s an easy tutorial on how to make one)
- Pizza Bagel Bites
- Slow Cooker Wings
Super Bowl Party Decor Ideas
For any party decor, my go-to is the Dollar Tree. They have so many affordable options for fun and vibrant party decor. I purchased ALL of this for $10! In addition to the basic football-themed trays, plates, napkins, and cups, I bought some supplies for a few DIY projects too. Check out these fun Super Bowl party ideas.
DIY Vince Lombardi Trophy
Using a kids megaphone and a football (both found on the toy aisle at Dollar Tree) hot glue them together. Spray paint silver and you have your very own Vince Lombardi Super Bowl trophy. You can use this as decor during the game and as a prize for the winner of Super Bowl Bingo once the festivities end.
Make Your Own Penalty Flags
I found these plastic golf balls on the toy aisle at Dollar Tree as well. Wrap a yellow napkin around each ball and secure with a rubber band or elastic hair tie. These make the perfect “penalty flags” for your guests to throw when the refs make a bad call.
Football Decor Made Easy
I used brown package paper to cut out triangle pennants and drew white lines with a chalk marker to resemble football laces. These looked great as an easy and quick banner behind the table.
Putting it All Together
Even with cheap party decor from the Dollar Tree, it’s really all about the presentation when it comes to impressive party planning. Use a table for all your food items and add fun labels on cardstock for each item. Create a cute sign near the water that says “Water Break.” Have a chalkboard in your home? Add a football quote and a few X’s and O’s to resemble a football play. Throw in a tablecloth and some tissue tassels for pops of vibrant color. I made this table runner out of a green plastic tablecloth and some masking tape. The white tablecloth you see is really just a flat white sheet, and underneath are two different sized coffee tables. The possibilities are endless!
Fun Activities for the Whole Family
Make game day fun for the kids too with our printable BINGO game. Create a candy football pool just for fun to include the children too. Another great idea is to make a ‘Pin the Football in the Goal’ game. Put masking tape on the wall to form the goal post and cut mini footballs out of construction paper. Don’t forget to download our free BINGO game printable here.
Whether you’re throwing a party or just watching the game with your family, we hope these ideas spark some game day creativity!
